Norges Bank was built in 1879 and restored after a devastating fire in 1892. The building is the work of the respected architect Paul A. Due.  The adjacent building was completed in 1975 designed by the architects Sannes og Steen. Until 2001 it housed the Norwegian State Bank - Norges Bank. Today it is the home of Silvertown Studios.
